If you took the SEO Nuts and Bolts Class download the SEO HANDOUT. It opens in a new window and is a PDF attachment.
From Introduction to SEO class:
Knowing Google rank is good. It helps assess your website and others.
0-10, 0-2 are "starter" ranks, 3 takes some work, 4+ take more work, high ranking websites linking to you, etc.

How many pages has Google read of your site:
in the Google toolbar type: site:yourwww.com
It will list the pages it has read and will show you the page titles and page descriptions a web surfer would see if they used a keyword that you used and showed up in the search engine results. The Nuts and Bolts class talks a lot more about page titles, page descriptions, how/when Google and others read your pages.
Don't know your web traffic? Try this free tool. I will warn you it can be shockingly inaccurate, but it's better than nothing! You sign up, they give you some code and you put it on every website page and it starts tracking your website!

Otherwise every host offers some form of web traffic analysis - some are really awesome, some are pretty bare bones. I like awstats, urchin and dreamhost.com is a hosting company that has a good web traffic system on it.
